Insurance is never supplied by us. You arrange coverage, bring proof, and accept that claims handling sits with your insurer — not the guide team on the road.

Hardcore Enduro additionally excludes medical evacuation insurance from the base product — a separate decision on that program.

Cave, trek, and kayak products exclude travel insurance and often travel and medical evacuation insurance — check the specific expedition page even if you are not on a motorbike product.

Visa processing is excluded on all products. Passport and visa validity are your pre-departure checks.

Vietnam traffic law for foreigners is nationality-dependent. Public reporting from

Vietnam News (Using the roads in Việt Nam as a foreigner) states that Việt Nam is a party to the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic — not the 1949 Geneva Convention. An IDP issued under a convention your country did not mutually recognize with Vietnam may not be valid for riding here.

The same source notes that countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Israel signed the 1949 convention but not the 1968 convention — meaning a standard IDP from those countries may not satisfy Vietnamese road rules for foreign drivers.

Public sources also state that tourists on short stays may drive with a valid home-country license plus a recognized IDP where applicable; long-term residents face different conversion rules requiring residence documentation. If your trip exceeds typical tourist visa length, confirm legal status before assuming your home license remains valid for the full expedition.

Decision impact: before you pay a deposit, confirm (1) your home license includes motorcycle authorization, (2) whether your country can issue an IDP Vietnam recognizes, and (3) whether your planned engine size matches your license class under current Vietnamese rules. We verify documents at briefing — we do not rewrite traffic law at the roadside.

Our products use manual and dual-sport / touring motorcycles matched to route and rider ability — not scooter-class bikes on expedition routes. Your license must authorize motorcycle operation in the class your quote assigns.

Public legal commentary consistently states that a car-only license — even with an IDP — does not authorize motorcycle operation. The IDP category must match the home license category.

Engine-displacement rules in Vietnam have changed in recent years according to multiple public legal summaries. Do not assume a rental-shop 110 cc rule applies to expedition bikes. Confirm displacement limits against your license class and your written quote before booking

Operator data requires you to carry insurance documents — not a specific insurer or policy name in the repository. Decision framework:

Travel insurance — excluded from all expedition base prices; required in personal kit on most products. Arrange coverage that matches expedition type: multi-day motorbike riding, remote sections, and medical evacuation if your route is far from hospitals.

Motorcycle / vehicle liability — excluded from base prices on ride products. Confirm whether your travel policy covers motorcycling as an activity, not only sitting in a support vehicle.

Medical evacuation — explicitly excluded on programs such as

Hardcore Enduro,

Tu Lan Cave Expedition, and

Central Highlands Jungle. Treat evacuation cover as a separate yes/no decision on those routes.

Public reporting links valid road paperwork to insurance validity — riding without recognized licenses can void coverage. Resolve licensing first; then buy insurance that matches how you will actually ride.

Bring physical or offline-accessible policy documents. Remote homestay sections on

Ho Chi Minh Trail and northern passes do not guarantee connectivity for insurer apps at check-in.

Decision impact: insurance and licensing protect you legally and financially; they do not replace guide safety calls. Ignoring briefing protocol can leave you liable for costs excluded from the product price.

Trek, cave, kayak, delta, and cultural products do not list motorcycle license / IDP on bring lists. They still exclude travel insurance from base prices and often require travel insurance details in your personal kit.
