One flagship per discipline — motorbike, trek, cave, kayak, multi-adventure, and cultural immersion. No filler. No duplicates.
Nine categories. Forty-plus routes. One philosophy: real terrain, small groups, no theatre.
This is a real expedition — long days, raw terrain, weather you can't negotiate with. But every evening, we make sure you land somewhere warm, comfortable, and quiet enough to recover for tomorrow.
Tick most boxes and you'll thrive. Tick few and we'll point you to a softer entry route — no shame, just the wrong start.

No call centres. No upsells. A field-tested process that takes you from "I'm thinking about it" to "I can't believe that just happened."

Introduction
It began with simple steps — through the old streets of Hanoi, the local markets, the quiet corners most journeys never reach.
Trusted by travelers worldwide
The Journey
The journey expanded north — into the misty highlands of Sapa,
the ancient villages of the Red River Delta,
where land and life still move to the same rhythm.
Then south through Hue and Hoi An,
into the highlands and lesser-traveled routes —
onward to Saigon and the Mekong Delta,
where every region speaks in its own voice.
With each route, we became more than guides —
a network connecting travelers to the most authentic Vietnam still has to offer.
The Founder

Behind these journeys is Tony T — the founder of Viet Expedition.
Before building the brand, Tony spent years guiding travelers across Vietnam, from the streets of Hanoi to remote mountain regions in the North.
These experiences were never created as a business, but as real journeys shared directly with travelers — later reflected in more than 70 five-star reviews on platforms like Tripadvisor.
Viet Expedition is built on that same foundation — experience first, recognition second.

The Network
What began as simple footsteps exploring Vietnam's key travel cities
has grown into one of the country's most established and trusted local guiding systems.
With Free Walking Tours Vietnam at its core —
a nationwide network with thousands of five-star reviews from travelers around the world.
Free Walking Tours Vietnam, Viet Expedition, Hanoi Travel Mate, Hoi An Travel Mate, and Saigon Travel Mate
are not separate brands — but different parts of the same system.
Built and led by Tony T,
operating as a single, unified vision across Vietnam.
At the foundation of this system, Hanoi Travel Mate serves as the primary legal entity —
officially registered in Vietnam with full legal status (Tax ID: 0110906485).
Ensuring transparency, stability,
and the long-term development of the entire network.
Trust & Recognition
Featured on GuruWalk and Tripadvisor — and the official Vietnam partner of SANDEMANs New Europe.
"Thousands of five-star reviews from travelers around the world."
"Recognized across global platforms for authentic local experience."
"Official partner in Vietnam."
What Never Changed
No scripts. No performances. No tourist filters.
Just real people, real stories — a deeper way through Vietnam.
Today
We've moved beyond city streets — into multi-day routes, remote terrain, and journeys that ask more of body and mind.
For those who don't just want to see Vietnam,
but to feel it, understand it, and move through it.
This is not where it began.
This is where the journey continues — further, deeper, more real.

— Final field note
You don't need to be ready. You need to start. We handle the rest — gear, mechanics, mountains, monsoon.
